Signs You’re a Democrat

You love people of color, single moms, gays, the middle class, government and liberal-Jesus…in that order.

You think the vilest, most ridiculous thing to come out of Hollywood in years is Clint Eastwood.

You’ve recently learned that all Mormons wear magical underwear and practice ritual sacrifice.

You despise “big business” and absolutely hate high unemployment.

You want the government to take over health care but not come between a woman and her doctor.

You think union bosses and politicians are “fighting the good fight” against corporate greed and corruption.

You feel the pain of “the less fortunate” and are morally compelled to help them with other people’s money.

You want more gun control laws so you feel safe like they do in Chicago.

You can’t help but admire Bill and Ted’s excellent efforts for women.

You believe taking money from your right pocket and placing it in your left increases your wealth.

You’re for abortion and want no child left behind.

You believe all men should be equal except in the payment of taxes.

You have a gut feeling that Paul Ryan, if he could, would hunt old people with predator drones.

You think Islam is a peaceful religion but the “Christian right” scares the hell out of you.

You’ve never watched FOX NEWS because you know it’s biased.

You don’t speak of the “war on terror” and won’t shut up about the “war on women.”

You’re going to vote for Obama because you’re better off than you were 4 years ago and you blame George Bush for this.

  1. I was a democrat (until the Party left me) and laughed and cried at your list, Steve. Spot on.

    1. I think lots of folks in both major parties feel, shall we say, "left behind." Laugh and cry...indeed.

      Thank you for reading.

  2. Love it. I too was once a Democrat (I voted for Clinton in his first bid for the White House). I repented of that "sin" and am now a Beliver and very conservative (thanks to the Lord).

    1. Amen. Praise be to God.

      Thanks for reading, Penny!
